1st Menai Bridge Scout Group are privileged to be joint owners (with our sister organisation – the local Girl Guiding units) of the Menai Bridge Scout & Guide Community Hall, which was rebuilt in 2010. The Hall is managed by a joint committee with representatives from both Scout & Guide groups nominated at the AGM. The hall is available for hire to other community groups.

How We Fund the Building

The costs of running the hall are managed by the management committee. Income is achieved by setting contributions from the Scout & Guide groups and rental income from other users. The committee have worked hard over a number of years to raise the funds for the rebuilding work. It is now time to concentrate fund raising activities on generating funds directly for activity programmes, and for other community projects.

Parking, Dropping Off & Collecting

Parking at the hall is limited and is reserved for leaders and adult volunteer helpers. There is a lay-by to assist with dropping off and picking up, but for safety reasons, please be aware that you are responsible for the safety of your child until you have handed over into the care of the leader. Sometimes our leaders are unable to attend due to unforeseen circumstances, with the result that meetings have to be cancelled at short notice. Similarly, you should arrange for your child collected by someone known to the leader, unless you have given written permission for your child to make their own way home.

The road network around the hall can be congested. Please be considerate to our neighbours and avoid blocking the road or their driveways, and keeping well clear of their cars and other property when opening car doors.
