1st Llanfairpwll Scouts took part in the Big Help Out again in 2024. A group of Adult Volunteers, Explorers/ Young Leaders, Scouts, a Cub and two Beavers worked together with Frankie and Elis from Anglesey Sea Zoo to tackle an area of beach on the Menai Strait. This area had some particularly large pieces of rubbish that had been there a long time and were difficult to clear. The group collected 9 bags of rubbish together with several huge heavy items given a combined weight in excess of 100kg – this all took place in rainy conditions but thankfully everyone was well prepared.
